What is Doulaville?
Doulaville Seattle is a collective of doulas, family educators and birth professionals who partner to bring comprehensive resources and support to area families as they welcome a new baby into their home. We attend births in hospitals, birth centers and homes and then provide in home postpartum support. Servering Marysville to Olympia, WA.
Why hire Doulaville?
Most families hiring a doula employ us to attend their birth so they can benefit from the emotional and physical support and guidance of a trained birth coach. The benefits of doulas are well documented in research, but we also provide support and classes to expecting families through pregnancy and postpartum. Morning sickness and bedrest can be really challenging experiences but hiring a doula to come to your home to take care of you and your needs can made a world of difference. Adjusting to a new baby is a big change for anyone so hiring a postpartum doula can help you get the help you need with older children, housework and breastfeeding that will help you have a happy babymoon. Our childbirth and family education classes also help you get the knowledge and skills you will need as you become a parent
Doulaville works with families from the moment they decide to start trying for a baby and that process, with all of its ups and downs, deserves to be captured in photos documenting the transformation that families experience when they welcome a new baby into the world.
Starting with education, information, resources and support with the challenges of conception, whether that is learning how to track fertility signs or undergoing IVF and other fertility treatments, our doulas can share their knowledge to help make the process easier and give you the emotional support and understanding you deserve every step of the way.

We are so happy to be partnering with Jen at Out of the Box Photography!
When working with the families who hire us, we refer them to Jen for her fun pregnancy announcements, her beautiful maternity photos and her precious newborn poses. Her Fresh 48 package is a wonderful way to save their early memories. Our Doulaville doulas also visit you within the first 48 hours of your baby’s birth to make sure you are well taken care of physically and emotionally so you can enjoy your bundle of love.
Six weeks and 4 days new.
Once we got her to sleep, she was out for the count.
I will certainly be getting one or two of these printed for the studio.
Enjoy! ~Jen
18 sessions in 2 days. What a blast!!! Thank you all for coming out. It was awesome to see some old faces and great to meet several new ones.
There was lots of mini marshmallows being thrown at Santa and me, Grandma’s throwing candy canes on the floor and lots of kid’s wondering who this Santa guy is and why we wanted them to sit on his lap. With alittle trickery we got MOST of them on his lap, or at least sitting next to him. LOL
I wish you all a wonderful holiday season and Happy New year!
ENJOY~ Jen
Meet Emily, she is my record time for a newborn shoot. I think 45 minutes. She came straight from her doctors appointment and
dealt with me moving her around and wrapping her up, like it was no big deal. Problely was like being at home. LOL
ENJOY~Jen
Thanks Little Lady, you sure made my job EASY!
If this little guy is not beyond adorable, with all that hair and so wide eyed and bushy tailed for the most part.
I had such a good time with Mom & Dad, they are both so easy going, makes my going a little easier.
I believe I have a fun shoot idea for Baby Q. when he is a little bit older. But I will keep that under wraps for now.
I guess that means they will have to come back to see me? LOL
ENJOY~ Jen
I’m so excited to share this FABULOUS DIY and very affordable newborn sleigh bed prop.
I found ADM WOODCRAFTS on Etsy or at http://etsy.com/shop/admwoodcrafts
We all know how big DIY projects are and I’am have been doing oodles of them. When I came across this bed, I had to have it.
I loved the idea that I could custom stain/paint and distress this unfinished pine prop/bed and get the look I want VS what someone has finished already. One I put a dark walnut stain and the I put a stain on, painted and distressed it. Shipping was super fast even though it was made to order.
I lost my before pictures when the bed was raw wood, but I have some shots of the finished and a a couple with it in use.
P.S. I have TWO of these bed. hehehe
ADM WOODCRAFTS also make ans sell doll furniture, please do NOT buy the baby doll bed to use with a REAL newborn baby. Get the bed that say “photography prop” it has a thicker bottom to hold the weight of a real baby.
I hope you ENJOYED~Jen
oops I did it again….Yes a new splash pg.

Thank you facebook, for putting me back in touch with old friends. I went to elementary school with Alexia’s mommy. I wont tell you how old I am, but I will say I don’t think I have seen her mommy in close to 25 years. Wow I’m really dating myself. LOL
Alexia was so easy to photograph, and I just loved all that hair.
